I recently had the opportunity to stay at a property in Porlock that felt well-suited for both leisure and business travelers. It's a scenic 20-minute stroll to Porlock's iconic boardwalk and shingle beach, making after-work walks a possibility to unwind. The Wi-Fi was reliable, a crucial aspect when needing to stay connected with work, which was great. Free parking at the property also removes any hassle that often accompanies city stays. It's worth noting that my experience wasn't entirely seamless. Upon arrival, I encountered some cleanliness issues, with used towels on the floor and unmade beds, leading to a three-hour wait for the cleaning crew to address them. While the property is welcoming, I felt that a few mobility enhancements, like a ramp connecting the front bedroom to the utility door, could make it more accessible. From my perspective, the property contains essential amenities for business travel but requires improvements in housekeeping and mobility access to truly shine. All said, I hope to see these enhancements during my next visit; Porlock is a lovely escape.
